CIARA Talks About Her Evolution

Posted by Molli Fire on Monday, 26March07

In case you didn’t see the news last week, Ciara and Beyonce both came out with music videos that played up their tomboy side. As it turns out, Ciara, the “Queen of Crunk”, is feeling more empowered by her evolving musical skills these days. Her second album, Ciara : The Evolution has already been certified platinum despite the fact that it was only released in North America in December 2006, and has yet to be released in the UK! She told RWD Magazine : “It’s called The Evolution because I feel like I’m graduating to a whole new level creatively and musically. I co-wrote every song and co-produced many of the tracks on this record so it really reflects where I am as an artist,” The album will drop in the UK on April 9th 2007.

Ciara will also be releasing another album this year called, Ciara & Company. That will be a greatest hits of sorts, a compilation of songs Ciara recorded with other artists. Some of the other artists include Missy Elliot, Bow Wow, Ludacris, Lil John, 50 Cent, and more. The release of this album has been rescheduled to May 14, 2007 in the US.

In the meantime, Ciara appears in a brand new, in-depth “TXT Back” interview where her fans got to ask the questions! The interview is in the latest issue of RWD Magazine which can be viewed online at RWD.

The Queen also has her own channel at youTube with music videos, interviews, and more :

Her bio on the youTube channel reads :

Ciara burst onto the scene two years ago with “Goodies” and its equally explosive follow-up, “1, 2 Step.” Her new album, The Evolution will be released in the UK on 9th April.
In terms of dance-pop production and style, The Evolution is about as good as it gets!!
The album features production from the Neptunes (“I Proceed”), Will.I.Am (“Get In, Fit In”), Jazze Pha (“Get Up”), and Lil John (“That’s Right”).
The Evolution delivers what Ciara is known for: hot beats, killer hooks and club bangers. With this release, she’s pretty much earned her spot as the new dancing queen of R&B/pop.
