NYC Solar Music Fest Seeking Bands Aid
Posted by Molli Fire on Thursday, 5April07
Saw this on brooklyn vegan tonight. bv is a super cool music blog in NYC, if you haven’t checked it out yet, you should soon.
I wasn’t going to announce this yet, but we need some extra help, so here it is….I’ve teamed up with Solar One (“Green Energy, Arts, & Education Center”) to bring NYC at least one free (and environmentally-friendly) outdoor music event this July. It’s called Citysol. And, in order to ensure this completely awesome FREE festival can happen, we need your help. And by “your”, I mean sponsors.
We basically need two things to make this happen:
- MONETARY SPONSORSHIP – In exchange for your money, we can provide banner placement, logo placement, PR, and more. Last year the festival was named “Best Music Festival That Runs By The Sun’s Rays” by the Village Voice, and Brooklyn Brewery and Whole Foods were among the festival’s supporters.
- BANDS – Are you, or the band you represent, interested in playing in the name of an awesome cause?
If you answered “yes” to any of the above, e-mail me (subject: CitySol). Thanks!
the solar 1 website describes the festival’s environmental impact thus :
“Citysol is a carbon neutral, clean energy powered festival series that aims to inspire interest and support for local sustainability initiatives through incredible music lineups, collaborative artistic installations, the city’s only green product marketplace, and numerous other elements meant to both entertain and educate.”
sounds like my kind of place!
the lineup has not been announced yet, but it’s been pretty cool in previous years. if you will be in NYC this summer, or nearby, this is the place to be!
