It may be a bit too early for you to start making plans for February 10th 2008. But, if you are in the L.A. area, or the entertainment industry, you may want to mark that date, and the preceding week in your calendar. Fashionistas, music indrustrialists, academic recording officials, broadcasters, presidents, vice-presidents, and CEO’s are already reserving, scheming, and dreaming about how they will celebrate the Grammy Awards’ 50th anniversary event. Some of the plans that have already been defined for the music industry’s special day, include the physical location : L.A., the date : Sunday February 10th, the lead-in : a fashion line which will be presented this fall, and the BIG PRIZE : a brand new, 30K square foot Grammy museum! The museum will be located in an entertainment complex that is currently being constructed next to the spot that the Grammy’s are usually held. The awards ceremony has suffered low ratings in the last few years, not even drawing as many viewers as “American Idol” averages over a season. This is likely a grand attempt to not only mark the Golden anniversary of the golden Grammy Award, but also to renew the viewer’s interest in the music industry’s respected award ceremony.
