Canada is so progressive. Just leave it to the Great Northern country to start the First Annual Reggae Music Achievement Awards, which will not only recognize Caribbean culture, but also the Caribbean-influenced culture that has developed on Canadian soil. According to Reggae Country news :
The purpose of the Reggae Music Achievement Awards is to publicly recognize, encourage and highlight the contributors and outstanding individuals within the reggae music industry in Canada. This will be an annual event to express Caribbean culture and showcase the talent of the Canadian reggae artiste and the people behind the scenes.

I wonder if future nominees will include more international artists. I’d really like to see Queen Ifrica on that Best Female Vocalist list. Oh well, next year I will submit my nomination. And for some reason I get the feeling that someone really wants Steele to win…..
